The usual mistake with bespoke software is to change how a business works so it suits the tool. We would rather spend the first conversation understanding the process you already have, and then write something that fits it.
Anything we write is documented and handed over, so you are not tied to us. We are happy to keep looking after it, but that should be your choice rather than a consequence.

Work out what it has to do
We sit down with whoever does the job now and write down what actually happens, including the awkward cases.
A written, priced proposal
You get the scope, the price and an estimated timescale in writing. Larger jobs are broken into stages you can stop between.
Build, test and hand over
We build it, you try it on real work, and we document it so somebody else could pick it up.

How much will it cost?
It depends entirely on what it has to do, so we quote after the first conversation rather than before it. Larger jobs are split into stages so you are never committed to the whole thing at once.
Do I own what you write?
Yes, and it is documented so another developer could take it on.
Can you work with software we already have?
Often, yes. Whether we can connect to it depends on what it offers; we will check before quoting rather than after.
