If you are starting a business, or getting a business online for the first time, we build a professionally designed single-page website for £299 instead of the £960 a single page normally costs. It is the same design work and the same build; the difference is who it is for.

Why the price is lower

Money is tightest in a business’s first year, and that is exactly when being findable matters most. A new business with no website loses work to one that has a page with a phone number on it, and we would rather help you past that than watch it happen.

So the start-up price is not a cut-down product. It is the same design work, the same build and the same care as our standard single page. What makes it cheaper is the scope: your words and your photographs, laid out to work, rather than us writing and shooting from scratch.

Who qualifies

  • A new business. Sole traders included. If you are setting up, you qualify.
  • A business getting online for the first time. The business may have traded for years; if it has never had a website of its own, the offer applies.

It does not apply if the business already has a website and you want it replaced. That is a rebuild, and our standard prices start at £960 for a single page. We will tell you which of the two you are, honestly, on the first call — it is not in our interest to have that conversation after you have committed.

What you get for £299

Included

  • A professionally designed, responsive single-page website
  • Your supplied words and photographs, laid out to work
  • Standard contact details and an enquiry form
  • Page title, description and structured data for search
  • Launch and hand-over

Quoted separately

  • More complex layouts
  • Extensive content preparation, such as writing and photography
  • Additional functionality
  • More pages, if you grow into them

The price is £299, fixed. Anything under “Quoted separately” is priced on its own, and you get the full figure in writing before anything starts, so there is no moment later where the number changes.

What it costs to run

The build is a one-off. After that you are paying for hosting and a domain name, and nothing else unless you ask us for something.

  • Web and email hosting, small plan: £79 a year
  • Domain name and DNS zone: £13 a year for a .uk, £28 for a .com
  • No minimum contract, on anything

We are not VAT registered, so those are the figures you actually pay. The domain is registered in your name, not ours, which matters more than it sounds: it is the commonest way a small business ends up unable to move supplier.

When one page is not enough

Often it is. A single page that answers what you do, where you do it, what it costs and how to reach you will beat five pages that do not. Most new businesses do not have enough to say for more than that in year one, and pages nobody reads cost money to build and money to keep.

You are outgrowing one page when you have several distinct services that each deserve their own explanation, when you want to be found for more than one kind of search, or when you are selling online. At that point a brochure site of four to six pages is £1,800 to £3,500, and a shop starts at £4,500. The pricing page has the whole ladder, and a page built now can grow into it rather than being thrown away.
