01 · How it works

Audit, agree, do, report

Step 1

Audit

A one-off piece of work, at an introductory £250. We analyse the site, the market and your competitors in detail, and hand you the findings in writing.

Step 2

Agree

We suggest the work that will make the most difference, and roughly how many hours it will take. You decide what goes ahead.

Step 3

Do and report

We do the agreed work at £75 an hour and send you a plain-English report of what changed. Then we decide what to do next, together.

Questions about SEO

How long does SEO take to work?

Usually months, not weeks. Fixing technical problems and improving pages can show results quickly, but building the authority that moves a site up the results takes longer. We tell you what to expect for your market before you commit.

Why is the SEO audit only £250?

£250 is an introductory price. Each audit report takes a good deal of work to produce, so the price will go up later. There is no obligation to buy any follow-on work.

Is there a minimum contract?

No. Our SEO work has no minimum contract. You stay because it is working, not because you are tied in.

Can you guarantee a first-page ranking?

No, and be wary of anyone who does. Nobody outside Google controls its results. What we can promise is careful work, honest reporting and clear reasons for every change.

Do you optimise for AI answer engines as well as Google?

Yes. Pages that are clearly structured, answer real questions directly and describe your business consistently are easier for both search engines and AI assistants to summarise and recommend.

What does SEO cost?

SEO starts with a one-off audit report and development plan, at an introductory £250. That covers the technical audit, the keyword and competitor research, a content plan and draft copy for your priority pages. After that, work is charged at £75 an hour, and only for what you have agreed. See the pricing page for the other running costs.
