Website design for a nursery and pre-school: CleverClogs Nursery, Norwich

We designed and built the website for CleverClogs Nursery & Pre-School, which runs two private nurseries in Norwich, at Longwater in Costessey and at Cringleford, with Book Visit forms and the information parents ask for first.

The brief

Parents choosing a nursery ask the same questions in the same order: what ages do you take, what are your hours, how are you rated, what does it cost, can I visit? CleverClogs has two sites, each with its own character, so the website had to treat them as two places under one name and still feel like one nursery.

It also had to hold a lot of practical information, from policies to funding, without burying the warmth.

Our approach

The homepage starts with a child's face rather than a logo wall, and follows with what matters: children from three months to school age, Monday to Friday from 7.45am to 6pm all year, an Ofsted rating of Good, DBS-checked staff and a five-star food hygiene rating. Each site has its own page and photo gallery, purple for Longwater and green for Cringleford, and its own Book Visit form.

Safeguarding, admissions and allergy policies, early years funding information, an example menu, FAQs and news each have a clear home. Testimonials carry the “home from home” feel that parents say they are looking for.

“Home from home.”
