Websites for holiday lets and self-catering

In short

A holiday let website has one job before all others: to turn a guest comparing a dozen places into an enquiry or a booking. We build a proper page for each property, put availability one click from everywhere, and connect a booking system built for the job.

01 · What matters

What a guest wants to know first

How many it sleeps, where exactly it is, what is nearby, and whether it is free on the dates they want. A site that answers those four things quickly converts far better than one that opens with a paragraph about the owners.

We have been building these since 2009. Norfolk Rural Cottages has six properties in one village, from a barn for two to a house for ten, and each one has its own page with the sleeps figure stated up front.

  • A page for each property, with photographs leading
  • Availability one click from every page
  • A map that places you against the coast or the town
  • Room for the accreditations guests look for

05 · Questions

Questions about holiday let websites

Do you build the booking system yourselves?

No, and we would advise against it for most owners. Availability and payments are better handled by a specialist system such as Bookalet, which we embed in the site so it looks and behaves like part of your own website.

Can I have one site for several properties?

Yes. That is the usual arrangement: one site that feels like one place, with a page for each property.

Will it work on a phone?

Yes. Most people looking for somewhere to stay are on a phone, so that is the layout we design first.
