Website design for a live honey bee removal service: Buzz-Off

We designed and built the website for Buzz-Off, a live honey bee removal service covering Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and London, explaining how bees are relocated rather than destroyed and making it easy to report a swarm.

The brief

Someone who finds bees in a roof or chimney wants two things quickly: reassurance and a person to call. Buzz-Off's service is unusual, with specialists and qualified beekeepers removing colonies alive, and that needs explaining before a customer will choose it over a standard pest controller.

The website also had to speak to a second audience: other beekeepers who can register to join the team.

Our approach

The site leads with the person and the promise. Louise Chapman's background is up front, the method is explained step by step, including drone surveys and thermal imaging to find colonies, and a species guide helps visitors work out what they're actually looking at. A swarm-reporting route and site-visit quotations sit alongside.

Conservation runs through the copy, because it is the reason people choose the service, and a ten-year badge and local press coverage add credibility without shouting.

“Relocate, don't exterminate.”
