The brief
The register exists to separate specialist mole catchers from general pest controllers, and to make the good ones easy to find. That gives its website two audiences and two jobs: homeowners and landowners searching for a local catcher, and would-be members who want to join or train.
Established in 2006 and described as the first register created digitally in the UK, it needed a site that looks as established as it is.
Our approach
Three routes lead from the top of the page, Find a Molecatcher, Join Us and Train With Us, under a dark masthead with Union flag branding and an engraving of a mole. Beneath, the site explains what a mole catcher does, gives a page to the science, including albino moles, publishes its Aims, Conduct and Practice standards, and runs a blog.
The directory lets a visitor search by location, and the tone stays authoritative but approachable: mole catching presented as a skilled craft rather than pest control.
“The first register to be created digitally in the United Kingdom.”
